Age Restriction
Aido is intended for users aged 13 and older.
The app is not directed at children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
COPPA Compliance
Aido complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by:
- No Child-Directed Content: The app is not designed or marketed to children
- No Data Collection from Children: We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under 13
- Age-Appropriate Design: The app includes features that requi mature understanding (AI prompting, technical settings)
- No Registration Required: We don't collect birthdates or age information during setup
Parental Notice
For Parents and Guardians
If you believe your child under 13 has used Aido and you wish to:
- Remove the app from their device
- Delete any local data
- Report concerns

What Data Could Be Collected
If a child under 13 were to use Aido (which violates our terms), the following local data could be stored on their device:

Important: Since all data is stored locally and we don't operate servers collecting user data, uninstalling the app immediately removes all traces.
Verifiable Parental Consent
Aido does not require parental consent because:
- The app is not directed at children under 13
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone (including children)
- There is no user registration or account creation
- All data is stored locally, not sent to our servers
Age-Appropriate Design Code (UK)
For UK users, Aido follows the Age-Appropriate Design Code principles:
- Privacy by Default: No data collection without explicit user action
- No Profiling: We don't create profiles or track behavior
- Transparency: This entire Transparency Center provides clear information
- Minimal Data Collection: Only what's necessary for functionality
- No Nudge Techniques: No manipulative design patterns
If We Discover Underage Use
What we would do:
- Immediately investigate the report
- Contact the parent/guardian (if contact info is available)
- Provide instructions for app removal and data deletion
- Since we don't collect server-side data, no remote deletion is necessary
- Document the incident internally for compliance records
