Since Aido stores all data locally on your device and does not collect data on our servers, you have complete control over your information without needing to contact us.
Right to Access
What it means: You have the right to know what data is collected about you.
How to Exercise This Right
- View Clipboard History: Open Aido → Settings → Clipboard History
- View Saved Prompts: Open Aido → Saved Prompts tab
- View API Keys: Settings → API Configuration (masked for security)
- View App Blacklist: Settings → Disabled Apps
Server Data: We do not store your data on servers, so there is no remote data to access.
Right to Deletion
What it means: You can request deletion of your personal data.
How to Delete Your Data

⚠️ Important: Deleting data is permanent and cannot be reversed. We do not have server backups of your data.
Right to Data Portability
What it means: You can export your data in a common format.
Current Export Options
- Saved Prompts: Can be manually copied/pasted from the app
- Settings: Currently no automated export (future feature)
Note: We are working on adding a "Export All Data" feature in a future update.
Right to Rectification
What it means: You can correct inaccurate data.
How to Correct Data
- Edit saved prompts directly in the app
- Update API keys in Settings
- Modify app blacklist as needed
Right to Object
What it means: You can object to certain data processing activities.
How to Object
- Object to Accessibility Service: Disable in Android Settings → Accessibility
- Object to Keyboard: Switch to a different keyboard in Android Settings
- Object to Specific Apps: Add apps to the blacklist in Aido Settings
- Object to All Processing: Uninstall the app
Right to Restrict Processing
What it means: You can limit how your data is used.
How to Restrict
- Disable the Accessibility Service (limits text reading)
- Disable specific features in app settings
- Use app blacklist to restrict processing in certain apps
- Turn off clipboard history to prevent local storage
International Users
GDPR (European Union)
Aido is GDPR-compliant. All rights above apply to EU users. Since we don't transfer data to third parties (except AI providers you choose), there are no cross-border data transfer concerns with Aido's own operations.
CCPA (California)
California residents have the right to:
- Know what personal information is collected (see Right to Access)
- Delete personal information (see Right to Deletion)
- Opt-out of sale of personal information (We do NOT sell data)
- Non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights
